While children of all faiths receive a well-rounded, faith-based education at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic School grounded in the 3 “Rs” – Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, we also believe a 4th “R” is important – Recess. In addition to elementary school students (5K - Grade 5) enjoying recess, the junior high students have time set aside for recess every day. Children organize their own games and learn how to get along with one another on the playground. This block of unstructured play also allows every student to take a break between lessons, so they may have an easier time concentrating once they return to the classroom.

We also believe that every child has God-given talents, strengths, and interests to be encouraged and cultivated. From participating in a sport to singing in the Youth Choir, there is an extracurricular activity that suits every student’s interests.
